Love.     Learn.     Live.

Congregational Care

We aim to care for and share with one another genuinely and transparently, including short- and long-term difficulties. If you are interested in helping to care for our congregation, please email Pastor Milton Harding or call him at the church office at 703-830-3333.

Family Services
We want to do what we can to provide practical assistance to our congregation.  This includes support in preparation for life occasions like baptism, marriage and funerals.  We also offer Shut-In Visitation and meals for those who may be incapacitated or in despair.

Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer and submitting to the will of God. In addition to dedicating Wednesday nights to prayer as a church family, we want to pray for you individually. To request prayer, you can drop a note into the offering plate using the tear-off in the bulletin; you can call the church office to share a prayer request; or you can enter a prayer request on the Prayer Wall on our website.  The Prayer Wall offers private requests (don't show up on the Wall, but go directly to a pastor), anonymous requests (show up on the wall, but do not have a name beside them, and open requests, where the person submitting the request is identified.  Each time someone prays for you, they can click a button that sends an anonymous note to you, sharing that they prayed!  What a joy to know that not only our church family but anyone who stumbles onto our website can request prayer and pray for others!

The Prayer Team
* Staffs the Prayer Rooms in the Foyer on Sunday mornings at all services.
* Will pray with and for anyone desiring it.
* Helps to motivate our people to include prayer in their daily routines through seasonal events.
* Meets on the second Tuesday of each month to discuss ways to innovate prayer at CBC.

Lay Counseling
The Lay Counseling Ministry exists to provide biblical counseling and spiritual education that comes directly from the Word of God. We believe that only the Word of God can transform a life. Biblically-based counseling can provide the process through which you can receive freedom from your past and within the context of your current issues.
While we do not have licensed counselors on staff, if you desire professional counseling, we can recommend qualified professionals who practice Individual, Pre-Marital, Couple and Family Counseling.
