A Letter from Pastor Billy
I hope you will visit often! In addition to our worship services on Sunday morning, the adults in our church family participate in small groups where we study God’s Word and seek to apply it to our lives, care for each other, plan ways to join in service projects, and to reach our surrounding neighborhoods for Christ. Throughout the week, we offer age-related Bible studies, as well as opportunities to serve through worship and fellowship. Exploring our website may give you more information about specific ministries or activities.
From family activities to long commutes, I recognize that getting connected or staying connected can be a challenge in this region. Therefore, I encourage you prayerfully to consider attending the following events as a first step in connecting to the CBC family.
Wednesday Night Fellowship Dinner (5:45 - 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall)
When you visit our Welcome Desk on Sunday morning, ask for a Welcome Packet. In addition to some churchwide information, a free ticket is enclosed for you and your family to come enjoy a delicious meal and mingle. After this time of food and fellowship, please stay and join us for prayer time and Bible study.
Discovering CBC (Offered monthly)
After a light meal, Pastor Milton Harding shares the philosophy, strategy, and ministry vision of CBC. This class is required for church membership, but if you simply want to learn more about our church, this class will help. Attending this class does not obligate you to join our church. Call the church office or register here for the next class.
Community Groups and Sunday School
On Sunday morning, we have a place for everyone to connect. Adults come together in mid-sized groups that meet at 8, 9:15 and 11 am. XLM Sunday for our teens meets at 9:15. For our children, Sunday School offers age-appropriate instruction and application for 2 years old through 6th grade. Our nursery provides a safe and comfortable place for our youngest family members.
I look forward to meeting you at one of our services -- please come up to me and introduce yourself! I (and the other pastors of the church) will stop by the Guest Reception Room in the foyer after each service for a quick chat as well. Together, we stand ready to serve you in any way we can.
Serving Him Together,
Dr. Billy Ross, Senior Pastor
