She is currently on staff at CBC as the Executive Director of Operations. Prior to serving in this role, God used her to start and grow CBC's Women's Ministry, for close to 20 years. She has taught Bible studies at CBC for over 15 years and enjoys speaking at retreats, conferences, MOPS groups, and other women’s events. She serves as a mentor for The Nest, CBC’s ministry to young moms. Elaine has served as a leader in the Women’s Ministry at CBC, including in the role as Director. Breakout Session Descriptions
Teaching for Impact, led by Elaine Bonds
Have you ever dreamed of teaching Bible study? Maybe those words in James 3:1 have held you back, "not many of you should presume to be teachers..." Or perhaps you already teach, but would enjoy a refresher with like-minded women. We have the best possible material (God's Word) so let's be the best teachers we can be.
Heart of Worship, Led by Julie Stanos
Most of us have experienced the highs and lows of leadership: those leaders that lift us up and help us to be better, and those that stifle and leave us feeling unappreciated and insignificant. Thanks to high visibility, few ministry roles rival worship leadership with its “ego snares”. Learn how to guard your heart and lead well as we identify practical tools and life lessons from the journey of a leader after God’s own heart.
Leading to Make a Difference, led by Cindy Hall
Some are born leaders and some learn to lead, but we all benefit from brushing up on proven leadership principles, learning to work effectively with men, and staying up on the latest resources. Take the fear out of leading!
Uniquely Created, led by Elaine Bonds
God created you with a personality that allows you to lead and influence in your own unique way. Discover how the four basic personality types interact so you can better understand and relate to others.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work, led by Cindy Hall
It might seem easier to do it all yourself, but with teams we can accomplish so much more! Gain practical tools and methods to help you be a more effective team leader or team member.
Listening Skills, led by Linda Wellman
"Are you listening?" "Did you hear me?" Has anyone ever asked you a question like this? We all want to be heard, but there is a difference between hearing what a person has said, with your ears and reassuring them that they have been heard. Active listening if far more than just hearing what the person is saying. It is responding in such a way that they know that they have been heard.
Confidence for the Small Group Leader, led by Kay Lewis
Discover how to start the group off right, troubleshoot challenging situations, and incorporate effective prayer into small groups. Gain a better understanding of small group dynamics whether you're the leader or a participant.
Trusted Friend: When it Matters Most, led by Cindy Hall and Elaine Bonds
Gain wisdom and confidence in knowing what to say or do when someone shares their struggle, crisis, or pain with you. Everyone needs a "trusted friend".
