Marriage Mentoring

Marriage mentoring provides couples with personal support, encouragement, Biblically-based marriage principles, marriage experience (lessons learned), accountability and advice from a more experienced couple. It is for those who are just starting out in marriage, couples experiencing challenging times or those just wanting to grow their marriage.  The materials we use included exercises from Marriage Mentors United, Scared Marriage Devotionals by Gary Thomas and more.

Mentors are not counselors, but are trained to recognize needs and to recommend professional counseling where needed.

Ministry Leaders
As husband and wife, we have learned many "lessons" while navigating through life's challenges with its typical ups and downs -  marriage, child-¬≠rearing, career building, ministry service, and our ever-¬≠growing faith.
Met ballroom dancing
We have learned that life doesn't always go the way we planned, but God has a plan for us and as we seek him, he will unfold that plan in his time.
Met in college
In our 20+ years of marriage, we have learned first-hand that keeping God in the center, good communication, close friendships with other believers, and maintaining a good sense of humor are very important.
Met as teenagers
We've experienced 21 years of challenges and victories as husband and wife, including purchasing a home, dealing with infertility, experiencing the joy of our daughter's birth, and navigating life in close proximity to a large extended family.
