Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

We are a church that believes in the great commission found in Matthew 18:19-20, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

We carry out this commission by supporting local, national and international organizations, and missionaries around the world. We also send short-term teams to assist missionaries around the world as well as hosting local events. Check out our Local and National/Global sections to learn how you can get involved!

Local Outreach

At CBC part of our vision is to Connect with the World. In Centreville, the world is reflected in our neighborhood and our local community. Here are some of the ways we serve our local community.

Operation Serve

Operation Serve is a church-wide, service-oriented weekend where teams go into our community to serve  through the Clothing Giveaway, landscaping at local schools and parks, household support at senior living facilities, food drives and more.

Clothing Giveaway

At various times during the year, our congregation donates clothes, then comes together to sort, fold, and distribute them to our community through a “free shopping” event.

Thanksgiving Food Collection

During  the Thanksgiving season, our  congregation collects food to distribute to families in need in our community.

Our Neighbor's Child

Hundreds of families in our area struggle to meet their most basic needs. CBC partners with Our Neighbor's Child to bring Christmas gifts to local children in our community.  This allows these families to direct their stretched financial resources toward housing costs, utilities and food needs. Gifts are distributed through Our Neighbor's Child.

Operation Christmas Child

We will partner with Global Gates Canada missionaries  to help reach the unreached people groups who have immigrated to the   Greater Toronto Area (GTA). We will be prayer walking, meeting people and seeking to start spiritual conversations with them. This is a great, first time international mission trip for those who may have never gone on a mission trip before.
Team Leader:  Bill Hatcher

We will work with  Love of Christ Church in child evangelism efforts. CBC will provide volunteers to help them with their children’s camp near Moscow, Russia. The first ten days we will be traveling and helping LOC staff at the children’s camp. Our team will have a diversity of talents, skills, and ages. We will conduct English language classes and organize sports activities like baseball and other games.

Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse, has delivered 157 million gift-filled shoeboxes to boys and girls around the world. We praise God for so many children whose lives have been changed as the result of a simple gift. Each October, our church begins collecting “love” filled shoeboxes from individuals and families. In November, these shoeboxes are packed in cartons and sent to processing centers to begin their incredible journey.
